Which wallet to use for CNR and CNS

CNR and CNS are Solana tokens, so any Solana wallet can hold them. Here are the wallets we recommend and how the Centric Wallet fits in.

CNR and CNS are SPL tokens on the Solana blockchain. Any wallet that supports Solana tokens can hold them.

  • Phantom. The most widely used Solana wallet. Browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Firefox) and mobile app (iOS, Android).
  • Solflare. Solana-focused, with a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox) and mobile app (iOS, Android).
  • Backpack. A newer multi-chain wallet. Browser extension and mobile app (iOS, Android).
  • Trust Wallet. A multi-chain mobile wallet with Solana support, and what many Centric holders already use.
  • MetaMask. Best known for Ethereum and BSC, and now with Solana accounts. Browser extension and mobile app.
  • Centric Wallet at solana-wallet.centric.com. See below.

Whichever you choose, send a small test amount first when you use a wallet for the first time.

What the Centric Wallet is

The Centric Wallet is a self-custody web app. You connect your own Solana wallet, such as Phantom or Solflare, and the app shows your CNR and CNS and lets you send, receive and convert between them.

  • The email and password you sign in with are a login to the app. They don't hold your tokens or your keys. Your tokens stay in the Solana wallet you connect.
  • "Create wallet" on the app creates a login. It doesn't create a new wallet or a seed phrase.
  • wallet.centric.com now goes to the same app.

What self-custody means for you

In a self-custody wallet, you hold the keys:

  • Your seed phrase (recovery phrase) and private key are the only way to restore your wallet. Write the seed phrase down and keep it offline.
  • No one at Centric can see, reset or recover your seed phrase, and no one at Centric will ever ask for it. Anyone who asks is a scammer. See How to spot scams and fake support.
  • Blockchain transactions can't be reversed. Check the address every time you send.

Things to know before you choose

  • Network fees are paid in SOL. Keep a small amount of SOL in the same wallet to send or convert tokens.
  • Don't send CNR to an exchange. Centric hasn't listed CNR on any exchange, and an exchange deposit address may not credit it. Keep CNR in your own wallet.
  • On a phone, you connect to swap.centric.com from inside the wallet app's own browser. See How to connect your wallet.
  • Can't see CNR or CNS in your wallet? You may need to add the token by its address. See I migrated but can't see my CNR.
