On this page
You convert between Centric Swap (CNS) and Centric Rise (CNR) with the Centric program on Solana. You can do it at swap.centric.com or in the Centric Wallet. Both work in either direction.
What happens when you convert
Because CNR's conversion rate against CNS rises every hour, converting CNS to CNR and later converting back returns more CNS than you started with. The extra CNS is created by the protocol at the moment you convert back. No staking or lockup is involved, and you can convert at any time in the Centric Wallet or at swap.centric.com. The rate is a protocol setting that the Centric Foundation can change; the current schedule is on the Metrics page. What your CNS is worth in dollars depends on its market price, which can fall by more than the rate adds.
Before you start
- Your tokens need to be in a Solana wallet, such as Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or Trust Wallet. Tokens on an exchange need to be withdrawn first. See Which wallet to use.
- Keep a little SOL in the same wallet. Each conversion is a Solana transaction, and the network fee is paid in SOL.
- On a phone, open swap.centric.com inside your wallet app's own browser. See How to connect your wallet.
Convert at swap.centric.com
- Go to swap.centric.com.
- Select Select Wallet, choose your wallet, and approve the connection in your wallet. If the list is empty and says "You'll need a wallet on Solana to continue", the site can't see a wallet: on a phone, open it from inside your wallet app instead. See How to connect your wallet.
- In Swap, choose the token you're converting from: CNS to get CNR, or CNR to get CNS.
- Enter an amount, or select 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of your balance. Receive shows what you'll get at the current rate.
- Select Swap, then approve the transaction in your wallet.
- Wait for Swap Complete. The new tokens are in your wallet.
Convert in the Centric Wallet
- Go to solana-wallet.centric.com and sign in.
- Connect your Solana wallet.
- Open Swap and follow the same steps as above.
If something goes wrong
- "Insufficient SOL balance for transaction." Add a little SOL to the wallet for the network fee.
- "Not enough CNS to swap" or "Not enough CNR to swap." The amount is more than your balance. Lower it.
- "Swap Failed". Check your wallet's activity first. If the transaction didn't go through, nothing was converted: refresh the page, reconnect your wallet and try again.
- Can't connect your wallet? See How to connect your wallet.
- New tokens not showing in your wallet? Some wallets hide new tokens or need you to add them by address. See I migrated but can't see my CNR; the steps work for CNS too.
Good to know
- Check the site. Convert only at swap.centric.com or in the Centric Wallet. Sites that copy them are a common scam. See How to spot scams and fake support.
- CNR only comes from converting. Centric hasn't listed CNR on any exchange.
